Emmett Waldron Scores First Career DIRTcar Sportsman Series Win, Gavin Eisele Wins Central Region Title

Emmett Waldron

Emmett Waldron had won every big race Fulton Speedway had to offer for Sportsman. But never a DIRTcar Sportsman Series Feature.

That changed Saturday night as the Savannah, NY driver led every lap to win the Central Region finale.

Waldron’s most significant challenge came at the drop of the green flag with Jason Parkhurst Jr. lined up to his outside. Parkhurst had already earned his first career Series win at Brewerton Speedway last month and aimed for his first win at Fulton in 2025.

When the two drivers raced into Turn 1, Waldron gained the advantage over Parkhurst, taking the lead down the backstretch.

From there, Waldron went untouched to score the $1,000 victory and set himself up for the championship season, which starts in August.

Parkhurst crossed the line in second, earning his second Series podium of 2025. Tony Finch finished third.

Rounding out the top five were Tyler Corcoran and Kyle Perry.

Gavin Eisele finished in sixth and secured the 2025 DIRTcar Sportsman Series Central Region championship for the first time.

UP NEXT: With the DIRTcar Sportsman Series Central Region complete, drivers will turn their attention to the opening round of the DIRTcar Sportsman Series Championship Series at Glen Ridge Motorsports Park on Sunday, Aug. 3.
