Rain Cancels Ovide Doiron Memorial at Mohawk

Rainout

With overnight rain at Mohawk International Raceway, and weather models showing more rain throughout day, DIRTcar Northeast and track officials have canceled Thursday’s Ovide Doiron Memorial for the DIRTcar 358 Modified Series.

The event will not be made up, as officials could not find a viable date to reschedule.

Drivers will now turn their attention to the opening night of Malta Massive Weekend at Albany-Saratoga Speedway on Friday, September 20.

Mat Williamson, the 2023 Series champion, leads the points standings by eight points over Mike Mahaney, who won the event last year. They’ll have to contend with a stout group of home track regulars including defending Series champion Felix Roy, Peter Britten, and most recent winner Matt Delorenzo.

The DIRTcar Sportsman Championship Series will also be in action during the Friday portion of Malta Massive Weekend, before the Super DIRTcar Series and DIRTcar Pro Stock Series take center stage on Saturday, September 21.
