The 2009 Mr. DIRTcar 358-Modified Championship Series opener scheduled at Can-Am Motorsports Park on Saturday, April 18 has been postponed due to rain.
A new date for the ’09 lid-lifter is expected to be announced by DIRTcar Racing Northeast series officials on Monday, April 20.
Racing in the Mr. DIRTcar 358-Modified Series resumes next weekend when Merrittville Speedway hosts the new opener on Saturday, April 25. Top Small-Block drivers will be after the $4,000 first-place prize posted in the 2nd Annual ‘Spring Sizzler 100’ staged at the popular Thorold, Ontario oval.
Gates are slated to open at 4 pm, practice at 6 o’clock, time trials at 6:15pm and heat race qualifying at 6:30.pm. More race day news can be found on the track site at www.merrittvillespeedway.com.
