Weedsport, New York_ With the 2010 season less than two months away, the Central New York DIRTcar Northeast racing scene is beginning to buzz with excitement as it’s three member tracks, Canandaigua Speedway, Rolling Wheels Raceway and the Cayuga County Fair Speedway are hosting new and exciting schedules.
DIRTcar is also taking the iniative as they have lowered the cost on many of their admission prices for the 2010 season.
“I know that the economy is tough for our race fans and we’d like to give them a break when they come through our gates this season,” said General Manager Cory Reed. “We have a great product to offer and with the price changes we’ve made for the 2010 season, it allows the fans to come to our race tracks at an affordable price.”
Regular weekly prices for adults will continue to be $12 while seniors 62 years of age and older will also continue to be $10. The student pricing has changed dramically as 10 thru 18 years of age will be set at $5. Children 9 and under will be free of charge. An additional cost will be added for special events.
DIRTcar Northeast is also doing something for our active military with a $5 admission to it’s weekly racing programs.
“Our military has done so much for our country. It’s just our way of saying thanks for all they’ve done,” says Reed.
Active military must show proof at the admission gate to get the discount.
Season grandstand passes are also available at Canandaigua Speedway ($200), Rolling Wheels ($200) and Cayuga County Fair Speedway ($225) with a Super Grandstand Season Pass being offered for the first time. A one time cost of $550 will get you into all season events at all three facilities from April through September. The Super Grandstand Season Pass does not include events during Super DIRT Week.
DIRTcar Northeast is also offering a “family four-pack” for two adults, two children and a choice of four hamburgers or hot dogs and four soft drinks for $40. Special events will also have a family four pack at graduated prices.”
“We believe that we need to do a better job of getting families to come to our events,” Reed said. “Instead of cars coming in with one or two people, we need to see full cars driving into our parking lots more often. “Our “Kids Always Free” policy has been a well kept secret we plan on making well-known.”
The “Five Pack” program will again be a popular option in 2010. The $48 dollar price will allow fans to buy five regular racing events for the price of four.
Season pit passes are also currently on sale for Cayuga County Fair Speedway and Canandaigua Speedway for $325 per track.
“We’re excited about the 2010 season and we want our fans to be as well,” adds Reed.
