Terrell’s Posts Pro Stock Front Row Awards For BNC Motorsports 25

Serving Central New York since 1961, Terrell’s Potato Chip Company Inc. has become synonymous with sponsorship support of the DIRTcar Racing NorthEast circuit. In the upcoming fall festival of speed, Terrell’s returns just as strong by posting $500 Pole and $250 Outside-Pole cash awards during the 37th running of Super DIRT Week at the New York State Fairgrounds. 2008 marks the fourth straight year that Pro Stock time trials will be run on the Syracuse Mile, having been held at Rolling Wheels Raceway Park in nearby Elbridge from 1997-2004.

Last October, Mr. DIRTcar Champion Pete Stefanski sped around the Moody Mile in a time of 36.852 sec., which was nearly one-second shy of the record tour mark of 35.898 sec. (100.284 mph) established by series points chaser Louie Jackson, who became the first Pro Stock pilot to surpass the 100 mph barrier in 2006. Pole-sitter Stefanski went on to finish third in the ’07 BNC Motorsports title event while Don Carlson earned the outside-pole starting position with a one-lap best clocking of 25.378 seconds and went on to capture the 25-lap main event.
