EVERY LAP MATTERS: Intercontinental Classic Points After Thursday at Eldora

With one of two preliminary shows in the books at Eldora Speedway, the Intercontinental Classic points have begun to shake themselves out.

Ahead of Friday’s program, Brandon Overton of Evans, Ga. leads the way at 741 points ahead of Josh Richards (739), Ricky Weiss (729), Tim McCreadie (727) and Jimmy Owens (695).

Collecting points in qualifying, heat races and features from Thursday/Friday, drivers will be split into four, 15-lap heat races on Saturday lined up by point totals. A potential inversion will be announced on Friday night, as the high point man following the second preliminary will spin the wheel for a heat race invert of 0-2-4-5 on Saturday.
