Rain washes out MARS event at Springfield Raceway

The Larry Phillips Memorial featuring the Mars/MSRA SuperLate Models at the Springfield Raceway was won by Mother Nature Saturday night as constant rain forced the cancellation of the event.

Both Series officials and track officials are attempting to look at a reschedule of the race.

The next scheduled race at the SpringfieldRaceway is Nascar night in which Kenny Wallace and Jamie McMurray are both scheduled to appear on Thursday Night October 1st with racing to start at 7:15PM.Classes that night will feature the A-mods in which Wallace will be attempting to capture the $1,000 to win $100 to start event.Also SportMods and

Legends will be competing that evening also.
