Evening rain showers swept over Rolling Wheels Raceway Park and forced officials to postpone the Mr. DIRTcar Sportsman feature event until Oct. 9 of Super DIRT Week. Four heat races and a pair of consolation round events cut the 42-car down to 32 to fill in the starting grid before the call to postpone came as the Super DIRTcar Series Big-Block Modified main was just past the mid-point.
The next event in the 2009 Hoosier Tire-VP Racing Fuels Mr. DIRTcar Sportsman Championship Series is slated for Fulton Speedway in a return trip to Central New York as part of the 24th Fulton 200 Weekend on Friday, October 2.
