SCHEDULE UPDATE: Friday’s On-Track Activities Called Off, Saturday’s Schedule Bolstered

Super DIRT Week

Rain on Friday with more on the way according to Precision Weather Service — combined with unfavorable track conditions — has led to Super DIRT Week officials pushing selected Friday on-track activities to Saturday, Oct. 7.

All four Super DIRT Week Feature events remain on Saturday, but now with the addition of Last Chance Showdowns for the Super DIRTcar Series, DIRTcar 358 Modifieds and DIRTcar Sportsman.

The Top-30 qualifiers for the Super DIRTcar Series Big Block Modifieds and Top-26 DIRTcar Sportsman are now locked into their main events – there will be no Qualifying Heats for either division. The remaining starting spots will be determined by the Last Chance Showdowns.

Top-three finishers in two Super DIRTcar Series and two DIRTcar 358 Modified Last Chance Showdowns will transfer to their Features. The top-two from the three DIRTcar Sportsman Last Chance Showdowns will transfer. All Last Chance Showdowns will be 10 laps.

To make sure fans and competitors get every race in the window available on Saturday, the DIRTcar Pro Stock 50 will now be 25 laps and the DIRTcar Sportsman Chevrolet Performance 75 will be 50 laps.

Those with a Friday only wristband can exchange it for a Saturday wristband. If you had a Sunday-only ticket, it will be honored for Saturday’s event.

Should weather impact Saturday’s programs, there is still the option to run Sunday.

Gates will open at 10 a.m. with Opening Ceremonies scheduled for 10:45 a.m. A flex schedule will be in place if weather forces the need for further schedule adjustments.
