A busy week awaits the DIRTcar Pro Stock Series, as drivers prepare for three races over the next seven days.

First, the Series makes its annual visit to Brewerton Speedway in Central Square, NY, on Monday, Aug.18, joining the Super DIRTcar Series as part of SummerFAST.

If you can’t make it to the event, watch all the action live on DIRTVision, either online or with the DIRTVision app.

Then, the Series makes its lone stop of the season at the Lebanon Valley Speedway in West Lebanon, NY, on Saturday, Aug. 23.

A trip to Glen Ridge Motorsports Park in Fultonville, NY, finishes out the weekend on Sunday, Aug. 24, ending the three-race stretch on three different types of tracks.

All three races will be 30 laps, paying $1,000 to the winner.

Here’s a look at what to watch for at Brewerton, Lebanon Valley, and Glen Ridge:

Ward Leads the Way: After two races in this year’s DIRTcar Pro Stock Series championship battle, Burton Ward leads the standings by four points over defending champion Pete Stefanski.

Ward, from Massena, NY, is one of two drivers who’ve finished in the top five in both Series events this season, winning at Cornwall Motor Speedway and finishing fourth at Autodrome Drummond.

While Ward sits atop the standings, he’s entering unfamiliar territory this week. Out of the three tracks on the schedule, he’s made one start at Glen Ridge, earning a 10th in 2021.

Chasing Burton: Two drivers chasing Ward for the top of the standings are Stefanski and Canadian competitor Marc Lalonde.

Stefanski has momentum after winning at Drummond, but out of the following three tracks, he only has a win at Glen Ridge. His best finishes at the other two tracks are a second at Brewerton in 2023 and a second at Lebanon Valley in 2010.

Lalonde, meanwhile, enters the week eight points behind Ward, with two top fives in Series competition. Like Ward, he’s looking for his first wins at all three facilities. The Plantagenet, ON driver has never made a Series start at Glen Ridge or Brewerton but has made four Series starts at Lebanon Valley. His best finish is a 13th in 2019.

The Valley Streak: While DIRTcar Pro Stock Series drivers have found wins at Brewerton and Glen Ridge, Series full-timers have had trouble winning at the Valley. In sixteen Series events at the 1/2-mile track, all of them have been won by a Lebanon Valley regular, including Frank Twing’s triumph last season.

The first non-Lebanon Valley Series regular to cross the line last year was Stefanski, who finished sixth.
