Sarver, PA (October 20, 2011) Cold and wet conditions have forced the postponement of the opening night of the DIRTcar Round Up Steel City Stampede until Friday evening at 6:00.
To ensure ample time to dry out, the pits will be closed until Friday morning, but haulers can be staged in the parking lot until parking within the pit area begins at 10:00AM.
The pit gates, tech inspection and registration will officially open at 12:00 Noon on Friday, at which time everyone will be asked to walk outside the gate to allow track officials and employees to verify that all those in the pit area are banded properly and that all cars/drivers are registered for competition.
Practice for all divisions will start at 6:00, with heat races to follow at 7:30. As scheduled, all divisions will complete their heat races Friday Night, with any consolation races and features being contested on Saturday evening.
As advertised, camping is free all weekend on a first come, first serve basis.
