CONCORD, NC – World of Outlaws and DIRTcar officials have decided to cancel all banquets for the 2020 season. This includes the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series, World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series, Super DIRTcar Series, DIRTcar Summer Nationals and Summit Racing Equipment Modified Nationals, DIRTcar Northeast, Hoosier Tire Weekly Racing and all other DIRTcar divisions.
With the health and safety of everyone in mind during the COVID-19 pandemic, officials decided cancelling the banquets this year would be in the best interest of teams, drivers and staff. All posted awards for weekly racing for 2020 will be paid by mail on the previously scheduled banquet date. The DIRTcar NE awards will be paid on November 21, 2020 and DIRTcar Midwest awards will be paid on January 9, 2021. More details will follow to each member from DIRTcar directly.
Drivers and teams in Series that were able to put together a season will still be awarded their points funds and trophies.
A champion for the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Models and the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Cars will be crowned during the exciting four-day World of Outlaws Last Call at The Dirt Track at Charlotte. The Late Models will compete Wednesday and Thursday, Nov. 4-5, while the Sprint Cars will compete Friday and Saturday, Nov. 6-7.
