Winter Storm Enzo Cancels Thursday Program; Focus Shifts to Weekend Events For Sunshine Nationals

Rainout

With Winter Storm Enzo producing hazardous driving conditions and road closures, and heavy rain and cold temperatures impacting the Barberville, FL area, World of Outlaws Late Model, DIRTcar, and Volusia Speedway Park officials have canceled Thursday’s DIRTcar Sunshine Nationals program.

The decision was made after consultation with Precision Weather Service to allow race teams and fans ample time to travel to Volusia as the hazardous conditions pass across the southeast, and to ensure the facility is ready for racing on Friday and Saturday.

If you purchased a ticket in advance for Thursday’s DIRTcar Sunshine Nationals event at Volusia Speedway Park, you will receive a face-value credit to your MyDirtTickets.com account – good for two years – to be used toward any World of Outlaws event available at WorldofOutlaws.com/tix. If a credit to your account does not work for you, then you have until Feb. 22 to request a refund.

Friday and Saturday’s racing action is still on as scheduled for the World of Outlaws Late Models, Crate Racin’ USA Late Models, and 602 Late Models. Friday’s World of Outlaws program will include a 35-lap, $12,000-to-win Feature, while the weekend wraps up with a 50-lap, $20,000-to-win World of Outlaws main event, on Saturday.

On Friday, pit pass sales will now begin at 9 a.m. with hauler load-in to follow at 10 a.m. All other times will remain the same, with spectator gates opening at 3 p.m. and Hot Laps beginning at 4 p.m.

Fans can purchase DIRTcar Sunshine Nationals tickets by clicking here.

If you can’t make it to the track, stream every lap live on DIRTVision.
